Late 1940's (c.1949/50) White Taffeta Gown w/Princess Skirt & Crinoline Hip Panniers

If you've never experienced the sound of a taffeta ball gown when walking in it, you haven't lived!  This one is made very well with a very fitted bodice & waist and a deliciously full skirt.  Lace at the slightly squared neckline, as well as beaded lace down the front of the gown & appliqués all over.  Inside crinoline hip panniers add fullness to the skirt as it leaves the fitted waist.  Great attention to detail.  Button-&-loop closures up the back ~ all are intact.  Long sleeves.  No inside label.  Train extends 14" past natural hemline.  Pearl necklace not included.
