1950's (c.1956-57) White Tulle w/Palest Peachy-Ivory Satin Roses Ball Gown
Incredible gown with amazing detail! Just look at the HUGE ruched tulle, ball gown skirt. Hundreds of little pick-ups in the skirt, many of which are accented with a pale peachy-ivory satin rose and the gown is smothered with them! Rounded neckline fits like a bateau. Short, fitted sleeves. No train, but do make note that, if worn with a full crinoline underskirt (as shown in professional photos), this gown can be worn by someone shorter, and likewise, if no petticoat at all (how the non-professional photos were taken), worn by someone slightly taller. Ideally, a full hoop should be worn underneath to properly display the gowns beautiful skirt! Very fitted bodice has sewn-in boning. Attached crinoline at flair from waist. Fully lined. Back metal zipper and many hook-&-eyes. Zipper functions perfectly, but the gown was simply too small for my size 2 dress form. Personally, I think that this gown looks best with a substantive hoop underneath. Inside hanging loops. No tears that see. No train. Pearl necklace not included.
