1940's (c. 1943-44) Heavy Slipper Satin Gown w/Round Illusion Neckline & V-Shaped Embroidered Scallop Detail
Incredibly gorgeous & heavy gown! Extraordinarily well made. Should, ideally, be worn for a Winter wedding due to it's weight. Front walking slit. Unusual, scalloped train! No inside tags. Fully lined. Multiple small pinhead-size holes in the neckline net, both front and back, with one larger hole at the back button placket (see photos). There is also a small rust spot (less than dime size) on the bottom of the skirt front. The net will have to be replaced, but the remainder of the gown is in superb condition. Button-&-loop closures in back and all are intact. Train extends 37" past natural hemline.
