1940's (c. 1944) Ivory Satin Gown w/Basque Waist & Scalloped Satin & Lace Neckline
The softest slipper satin was used for this wedding gown. No inside tags, but feels as though it could be a silk satin. In really great condition with the exception of one fabric 'rub' area (see pic) and a couple of small spots & one small hole at the hemline (could be re-hemmed to eliminate most of these small spots & the hole). Lace neckline w/three (3) front buttons. Scalloped satin bertha collar effect is particularly nice. Side metal zipper. Three (3) intact, functioning buttons-&-loops close the back. Long satin sleeves w/button-&-loop closures as well. Small brush train extends 3" past natural hemline.
