Genuine 1913 Silk & Lace Edwardian ('Titanic Era') Dress w/Glass Beads
The silver inside these glass beads has oxidized a bit, but that only adds to the charm and appeal of this genuine Edwardian dress. Hand-smocked and hand-sewn, this gown is in 'very good plus' condition for its age. While simple in its design, it's a lovely piece of history. The only flaw is where the inside silk lining, at the waistline, has shattered a bit. This, I believe, is due to years of pulling on the waist (to close/fasten it). The outer silk fabric is intact, and the gown is otherwise free of tears or splits. No staining that I see. Lace collar is intact, as is the beading. Overall, in wonderful condition for its age!
