1960's (c.1965-66) Ecru Silk Peau de Soie & Alençon Lace Gown w/Detachable Train
This gown was made for someone EXTREMELY petite (please see measurements) and would've been a (then) couture gown. Gorgeous silk peau de soie and Alençon lace are a classic combination. This gown offers a high collar with illusion bodice, long sleeves with cuffs, and a detachable train. The skirt has accents of Alençon lace appliqués as well as a generous embellished Alençon lace border to pull the whole look together. The gown is in excellent condition overall, but even after being dry-cleaned, it has two faint stains on the front & front-side of the skirt. Very minimal underarm marks. No inside tags. Fully lined. Back metal zipper. Original five (5) buttons just under back lace where the train attaches.
Measurements: Bust 32"; Waist 21-22" (max!); Hips 33-34"; Gown Length 52"
Condition: 8 out of 10 (due to the two diffuse stains)
